Hi Bertha and Steve
I brought over a level to your house last week to see what needed to be done to fix your deck properly. Here are a few photo's and explanations. You may have wait a second for the pictures dot download so you can enlarge them by holding your cursor over the picture and then clicking on the + sign at the bottom right of the picture.
This is your deck right out side of your door, the deck is sunk over 5/8 of an inch.
There are many places where your deck waves, I think shows it pretty well.
Here is another location with the wave
The corners are pretty far out of square as you can see from the stair cuts going opposite directions. We can reframe to make it right.
This isat the corner of the deck, the deck is very out of level and at places the deck has 3/4 valleys.
Here is a close up of the level from the picure above. This level is 8 foot long so when the bubble is this far out the deck itself will be about 11/2 inch out of total level.
Since the steps are framed like this we either have to leave it like this or reframe it to give it a more finished look.

I just got these pictures from a few projects we recently finished. They give pretty good examples of what craftmanship should look like for your reference.
Here is a ipe deck we recently finished, you can see the deck is very level and flat.
You can see in this close up shot there are no waves.
Here are some 45% angled inside steps
and some 90% outside steps.
A couple of jobs we just finished in case you are interested of before and after pics.
